Final Fantasy Artist Yoshitaka Amano's 'Candy Girl' Character Gets High-End Merch

The Ginza Mitsukoshi department store is hosting a pop culture-focused "Discover! Tokyo" event until February 16 with exclusive items designed by Final Fantasy and Vampire Hunter D artist Yoshitaka Amano. The department store's seventh floor will feature an art gallery of Amano's work and merchandise featuring his "Candy Girl" character.
Some of the items for sale include a 100% silk scarves (19,440 yen/US$165), a cotton scarf (3,240 yen/US$27), a tote bag (29,160 yen/US$247), and shoes (23,760 yen/US$201). Both the tote and shoes can be decorated with art (1,620 yen/US$14). Other bags include 3D cowhide purses hand painted by Amano (1,080,000 yen/US$9,147). Jewelry includes 18-carat gold necklaces ranging from 129,600 to 194,400 yen (US$1,098 to US$1,646) and earrings for 194,400 yen (US$1,646). The jewelry features diamonds, emeralds, peridots, and moonstones.
Branded home goods, snacks, and chocolates are also for sale.
