Carolina Manga Library Opens IndieGoGo Campaign
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
Carolina Manga Library head librarian Laura Mehaffey opened an IndieGoGo campaign on September 24 in hopes to raise US$1,500 for her traveling manga reading library. The non-profit is based out of South Carolina and contains 2,000 graphic novels. Founded in 2013, Mehaffey and her small staff bring the library out to events like Nashicon, Hoshicon, and Matsuricon.
The Carolina Manga Library would use the US$1,500 for new shelving and the purchase of a trailer. Until now, Mehaffey was renting a trailer to transport the books and using plastic shelving that often needed replaced.
